Sumeet Thareja, MD

Dr. Sumeet Thareja is the Founder, Board-Certified Dermatologist, and Mohs Surgeon at Indigo Dermatology, serving patients throughout Tampa, Melbourne, and Palm Bay.

As the founding director of Indigo Dermatology, Dr. Thareja specializes in advanced skin cancer treatment, Mohs surgery, and hair loss therapies. His passion for dermatology stems from an understanding of both the physical and emotional impact skin conditions can have on patients. He is dedicated to helping individuals look and feel their best while improving their overall quality of life.

He is committed to raising awareness about skin cancer prevention and educating the community on skin health and early detection. In addition to providing comprehensive medical dermatology care, Dr. Thareja offers a wide range of aesthetic skin care services to patients across Central Florida.

Dr. Thareja earned his undergraduate degree from University of Miami before obtaining his medical degree and completing his dermatology residency at University of South Florida. He later practiced dermatology at the James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital Department of Dermatology in Tampa, where he provided care to veterans throughout the Tampa Bay region.

Board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology, Dr. Thareja is also an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Mohs Surgery. His expertise, patient-centered approach, and commitment to education have made him a trusted leader in dermatologic care throughout Florida.

Shalini Thareja Batra, MD

Aesthetic Specialist & Board Certified Dermatologist located in Melbourne, FL and Tampa, FL

Dr. Shalini Batra completed her dermatology residency training at Florida State University after completing medical school and an internal medicine internship at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. She completed a one-year pre-doctoral dermatology internship during medical school at Northwestern University in Chicago focused on women’s vulvar dermatological disease. Her undergraduate study was at Columbia University in the City of New York.

Dr. Shalini Batra has published several dermatological papers in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology (JAAD) and Journal of the American Medical Association in Dermatology (JAMA Dermatology) while also presenting at numerous influential academic conferences. In addition, she has authored a dermatology textbook chapter on keloids.

Dr. Shalini Batra holds a 3-year board position on the Young Physicians, Residents, and Fellows committee of the Women’s Dermatologic Society. She also is a member of the social media committee for the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.

Her clinical interests include general dermatology, skin cancer, dermatologic surgery and reconstruction, cosmetics, keloids, and vulvar dermatology.

Dr. Shalini Batra is originally from Melbourne, Florida. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, meditation, yoga, and travel. She hopes to learn how to scuba dive in the future.

Dr. Batra currently works at NIIVA by Indigo Dermatology in South Tampa and Melbourne.

Staci Capistrano

Staci Capistrano earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama. After 12 years of nursing she pursued her Master’s of Science in Nursing at Frontier Nursing University and became a Family Nurse Practitioner, certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Before starting her career in dermatology, Staci worked as Registered Nurse in Family Practice and Occupational Health as well as school nursing. She is now working as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner, specializing in clinical and medical dermatology.

Staci is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Society of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners.

Amelia Lammers

APRN-C

Amelia Lammers earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at the University of Iowa prior to obtaining a Masters of Science in Nursing at Chamberlain College of Nursing, graduating in 2016 as top of class with Honors as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

She enjoys Piña Coladas however; she does not enjoy getting caught in the rain.

Amelia has been an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Specializing in Dermatology since 2018 and offers a diverse background with extensive and specialized training to assist in your Dermatology needs.
